Nienke Bobbert

Nienke studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht and in 1996 started working as a lawyer in Amsterdam. She built an extensive advisory and litigation practice at a medium-sized law firm, where they specialized in insolvency and liability law. In 2019, she joined AMS Advocaten.

Specializations

Nienke has more than 20 years of experience in litigation, particularly with respect to insolvency law, liability law, and contract law. She assists both companies and organizations as well as directors and supervisors in disputes relating to corporate governance. Because Nienke also has extensive experience as a curator in bankruptcies, she is familiar with the force field around insolvencies like no other.

Dispute resolution

In addition to giving advice on contracts, cooperative structures and organizational structure, Nienke’s practice to a great extent focusses on dispute resolution. Not only is litigating itself of importance in that respect, but also giving advice on the dispute resolution and procedural strategy method.

Grotius specialist course

Nienke completed the postgraduate Companies and Liability specialty course at the Grotius Academy (cum laude) as well as the INSOLAD/Grotius specialist course insolvency law.

Nienke is also a member of the Dutch Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD) and its international branch INSOL.

 

Nienke has registered the following principal areas of law in the register of legal areas of the Dutch Bar Association: insolvency law and corporate law. On the basis of this registration, she is obliged to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal area in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
