Digital shareholders’ register

At the moment the shareholders’ register in the Netherlands is a physical register, like a book. It must be kept at the offices of the company. New legislation is proposed to digitalise the shareholders’ register. That way authorities as the tax authorities or civil notaries can consult the register to find out who are the shareholders of a Dutch private limited.
