Pub tenancy / pub lease

In the Netherlands it is not uncommon that someone operates someone else’s business. The contractual form in which this is done is a lease: a party leases the business from another party and runs it in his own name and for his own risk.

Often this arrangement is applied in the hospitality business (pubs and bars) where the landlord is a brewery. The lease contract (under Dutch law) is usually a combination of provisions regarding the pub lease and the lease of the commercial premises.
