In the Netherlands collective liability (or: collective responsibilities) often refers to the joint and several liability of directors for the joint (mis)management of the company.
Collective liability means that a director of a Dutch limited company is not only liable for his own acts within the board, but also for the acts of the other board members. An act of one is seen as an act of the whole board.
